The Supreme Court has withdrawn contempt of court notice against Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in NRO implementation case.

Earlier‚ Law Minister Farooq H Naek informed the court that the letter has been sent to the Swiss authorities in accordance with the apex court s orders.He said documents about the sending of the letter have also been submitted with the Supreme Court.Talking to the media persons outside the Supreme Court‚ Law Minister Farooq H Naek described the apex court s decision to discharge contempt of court case against the prime minister as the victory of justice and democracy.

He said the government delivered letter to the Swiss Attorney General through its Ambassador in Switzerland. All the relevant documents about the sending of this letter have been submitted with the apex court.He said the government has always implemented decisions of the courts and it is a testimony that we do not want confrontation with any of the institution.The law minister said we want to further promote democracy for which leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party have given unprecedented sacrifices. – Dunyanews
