Karachi: Principal Dawood College of Engineering and Technology (DCET) Salman Baloch committed suicide here in the premises of the college on Monday.Police said the deceased had psychological deficiencies which drove him to end his life by jumping from the third floor of the college building. The tragic incident occurred on Monday afternoon when Professor/Engineer Salman Baloch jumped from the rooftop of the college building. He sustained multiple body fractures and head injures. He was taken to a private hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The body was moved to Civil Hospital, Karachi for autopsy. Later, it was handed over to his family. Police quoted doctors that apparently deceased was not murdered. The medics suggested that the reason behind the death was boon fractures and head injures. Late principal had weak eye-sight and was suffering from diabetes and mental pressure too. Police believed that the deceased committed suicide while cops have so far been unable to ascertain the cause behind the suicide. The body samples of the victim have been sent to the laboratory for chemical examination. However, doctors have not disclosed his post-mortem report as yet.
