SSUET holds ‘open house job fair’

KARACHI: “Pakistan is on the fourth position in ranking at social media and I feel proud to declare that our students are taking part in opinion making at international level for Pakistan.”Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister Khawaja Izharul Hassan stated this at the ceremony held by Sir Syed University (SSUET) of Engineering and Technology for the inauguration of ‘Open House Job Fair’ here on Saturday.He further elaborated that time has come to focus on effective lobbying which is essential for image building of the nation and country. He asked the think tank of Pakistan to give preference to the national integrity and identity.“We should have the fair representation at different forums and share with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and international organisations to bring out the actual facts and try to clear the misconceptions about us as nation and country”, he said.Earlier, SSUET Vice Chancellor Saiyid Nazir Ahmed expressed the words of gratitude in his welcome speech for the presence of the adviser at the education and book fair.He said, “Innovation is a key ingredient of productivity success and brilliant students of SSUET with their innovative research projects ensure a great future of the country. SSUET students proved to be successful engineers everywhere in the world”.Extending his hearty welcome to the students and participants, he said: “The sponsors and university authorities are committed to ensure quality education. The university lays great emphasis on practical and professional know-how with strict adherence to character building and career planning”.SSUET has arranged this mega event of open house 2011 education and job fair which was well attended by profile professionals, industrialists, businessmen, corporate professional and dignitaries. Over 95 projects were on display at the fair and the adviser and visitors appreciated the solar car and ramp energy system.Adil Usman, Vice President AMUOBA and member SSUET Board of Governors, Registrar Shah Mohammad H Syed also spoke.Later, the chief guest visited the fair.
