LAHORE:The lahore witnessed severe traffic mess on various leading arteries due to Tahafuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat rally on Sunday.Dozens of vehicles and ambulances apart from general public moving in the lahore seemed stuck into the gridlock. The lahore traffic police and the wardens were helpless to keep the traffic moving. The lahore arteries which observed traffic jumble included Ferozpur Road, The Mall, Kalma Chowk, Model Town Morr, China Chowk, Qurtaba Chowk, Mozang Crossing, Chauburji, GPO Chowk, Anarkali, Nasirbagh, Garhi Shahu, Railway Station, Safanwala Chowk and other areas. The traffic police spokesman, in an official communiqué issued on Sunday said The Mall was completely banned for all kind of movements in connection with Tahafuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat Rally which converged near Punjab Assembly.“In fact when The Mall is blocked due to any reason, all other roads adjacent to it witness traffic mess,” he added. He, however, said over 600 traffic wardens had been deputed at different points near The Mall. He claimed three SPs, five DSPs and 10 inspectors were directly supervising these wardens – Nation
