UET awards first PhD in Architecture

LAHORE:The University of Engineering & Technology Lahore has awarded its first PhD degree in Architecture to Mr. Abdul Ghafoor S/O Faiz Rasool. He completed his research under subject “To investigate the Forces Acting at Religious Magnet-The Shrine in Urban Settlements and their impact on Immediate Surrounding” under supervision of Prof. Dr. Mahmood Hussain. Presently he is working in Punjab Auqaf Department as Deputy Director Architecture. Mr. Ghafoor commonly known as Ghafer Shahzad in literary circle has fifteen books published under subjects of Lahore, shrines, mosques etc to his credit – PT
