DUBAI :The Dubai International Film Festival’s opening movie, The King’s Speech, has become the most-nominated film for the 2011 Golden Globe Awards, earning seven nods, including Best Actor for DIFF headliner Colin Firth.The nominations in various categories for The King’s Speech include: Best Motion Picture (drama); Best Actor (motion picture-drama): Colin Firth; Best Director: Tom Hooper; Best Supporting Actor: Geoffrey Rush; Best Supporting Actress: Helena Bonham Carter; Best Screenplay: David Seidler; and Best Original Score: Alexandre Desplat.The Golden Globe, amongst the most celebrated cinema honours in the world, will be awarded in January, 2011.Colin Firth received this outstanding news in Dubai as he was all set to leave its shores today.“All of us at DIFF are thrilled by this news.
