Adnan set to make Test debut against SA on Friday

DUBAI: Highly rated wicketkeeper Adnan Akmal is set to make his Test debut for Pakistan against South Africa on Friday at Dubai Sports City International Cricket Stadium here on Friday.Adnan, brother of Kamran Akmal and Umer, got his fortunes as he was called in to represent Pakistan in the 2-Test match series after Zulqarnain Haider deserted the team in a mysterious fashion on the morning of fifth ODI here.“It’s a great honor to represent the country and I wanted to fill in the footsteps of my brothers Kaman and Umer,” 25-year-old from Lahore, who had scored 2392, runs in 72 first class games with two centuries and eight fifties told APP in brief talk.Akmal brothers are third trio of brothers having represented Pakistan in the Test matches after Muhammad brother, Wazir, Hanif, Mushtaq and Sadiq and Manzoor Elahi, Salim Elahi and Zahoor Elahi.Like the team, Adnan Akmal underwent specialized training session with coaches – App
