ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected Rs1,631 billion upto May 31 for the current financial year, a senior FBR official said on Saturday.
“The FBR has collected Rs1,631 billion upto May 31 this year against Rs1,319 billion during the same period last fiscal year showing an increase of 25 percent”, Shahid Hassan Member Inland Revenue of FBR told APP.
He said the total revenue during the month of May this year was Rs182 billion and hoped that the FBR would be able to collect Rs321 billion during the current month as compared to Rs248 billion in June last year.He expressed the hope that the FBR would meet the revenue target of Rs1,952 billion by the end of current financial year. – Brecorder
