CID office attack not result of security lapse: CM Sindh

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that the attack on Crime Investigation Department (CID) building was not due to security lapse adding that Sindh government condemns this suicide attack. He also urged that people should be united against terrorism.Talking to the Media persons here on Friday outside of the collapsed cite of CID building. He said that the suicide attack was thoroughly planned the terrorists had come to release their comrades; however, they failed to liberate them. In order to cover their failure they conducted this horrible act

He said there was no security lapse if the policemen present n the scene had not countered the terrorists than a much larger scale destruction could have happened.He said that the security arrangements were satisfactory. Five minutes earlier the terrorists fired while our soldiers retaliated bravely.As per the preliminary reports 13 people were killed and 108 sustained injuries.The CM said, “The government would compensate the heirs of victims of this incident”. It is one of the biggest terrorist incidents in Karachi however; we are ready to face all challenges of terrorism.Qaim Ali Shah said that no Muslim can do such kind of coward act and we will leave no stone unturned to arrest the criminals – Onlinenews
